Making your first trade
Trading on ticcr is easy! You execute all trades via the terminal which supports trading on 150+ global exchanges, with over 250,000+ stocks, bonds, futures, CFDs, currencies and crypto currencies.
All tickers need to be entered in a format called RIC (Reuters Instrument Code). If you enter a ticker in a format other than RIC such as Bloomberg-format, the terminal will give you an error.
United States Stocks
US stocks can be entered without specifying which exchange the instrument is trading on.
This is true for stocks traded on exchanges such as NYSE, Nasdaq and OTCMarkets.
United States class shares
If you want to enter a position of class A or B shares, please enter the ticker followed by hypen and class A for class A shares or B for B shares. The following example is for Berkshire Hathaway class B shares:
Non US stocks
Non US stocks has to be entered by using the ticker followed by the Exchange ID of the exchange of which the stock is trading on. The following example is for Nintendo traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange:
The same company can be trading on multiple exchanges. Here’s Nintendo’s stock on Tokyo Stock exchange:
Non US class shares
Non US class shares has to be entered by using the ticker followed by hyphen and the class (A or B) followed by the Exchange Identifier of the exchange’s of which the stock is traded on. The following example is for Volvo class B shares traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Ticcr supports most major US and global ETFs. Smaller regional ETFs are not yet extensively supported. ETFs can be entered without specifying the exchange.
The following example is for the SPDR S&P 500 ETF.
Futures must be specified using Delivery Month or Delivery Quarter Code.

The following is the ticker for gold:
Forex must be specified in the format of CURRENCY_TO_BUY-PAY_WITH_CURRENCY. Let's say you want to buy Chinese Yuan and pay with United States Dollar, enter the ticker as:
The same is true the other way around. For instance, if you want to buy United States Dollars and pay with Chinese Yuan, you would enter the ticker as:
Ticcr supports most crypto currencies listed here.
Trading with crypto currencies requires the format of CRYPTO_CURRENCY-FIAT_CURRENCY
. Let's say you want to buy Bitcoin and pay with United States Dollar, enter the ticker as:
If you on the other hand would like to buy USD and pay with Bitcoin, please specify "Forex" as the instrument type. Do not use "Crypto" as the intstrument-category.
